The SDAU was honored by Indian Red Cross Society with "Special Award as mark of appreciation for extensive thalessemia screening of students. The award was presented to Dr. R.K.Patel, Hob'ble Vice Chancellor by  Shri Acharya Devvrat,  Hon'ble Chancellor & Governor of Gujarat at ceremony organized  on 7th February, 2020 at  Raj Bhavan, Gandhinagar.As a part of ceremony special appreciation remark for making thalessemia screening compulsory for all students was made by Indian Red Cross Society.Hon'ble Vice Chancellor on the occasion conveyed congratulation to all students for awards.
