National Webinar On Yoga: A Lifestyle, A Profession

ASPEE College of Home Science and Nutrition, Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University, Sardarkrushinagar has organized National webinar on “Yoga: A Lifestyle, A Profession” on June 23rd, 2020.  The webinar was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr. R. K. Patel. He expressed his good wishes for the webinar in current context. Dr. I.N. Patel, I/C principal, ASPEE College of Home Science and Nutrition, SDAU, Sardarkrushinagar welcome the speakers and participants and grace the occasion with his motivated spirit. The organizers of the webinar are Dr. Simple Jain, Dr. Neeta Khandelwal, Dr. Pragaya Dashora and Dr. Surabhi Singh, Assistant professors, ASPEE College of Home Science and Nutrition, SDAU, Sardarkrushinagar.

The Webinar consisted four Technical Sessions

The First Session was on 'Yoga: A Healthy Lifestyle' delivered by Dr.Sadananda Chary, Retired Professor, Department of Physics, Osmania University, Hyderabad. . He guided us on how Yoga as a lifestyle can improve and enhance our quality of life.

The Second Session was on 'Yoga Efficiency and Clothing Selection'. Dr. Dolly Mogra, Assistant Professor, Department of Readymade Garments,Mohanlal Sukhadiya University, Udaipur presented this session. She guided us on choosing the correct clothing, which will enhance Yoga efficiency.

Third Session was on 'Yogapreneurship: Exploring Job Opportunities in Yoga'. Dr. Harish Gupta, UGC Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Osmania University, Hyderabad .  He presented before us the various entrepreneurial opportunities offered by Yoga

And, Fourth Session dealt with detailing of 'Yoga Asanas and Pranayam' by Shri Arvind B. Chaudhary, Assistant Teacher, Yoga and Sports, Vidya Mandir School, Palanpur. He practically demonstrated various asans and pranayam.

E-participation certificate was given to all the participants. A total 120 participants from nine states participated in the webinar
