The valedictory function of 35th Graduating Batch of College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University, Sardarkrushinagar was organised online on 22nd October, 2020. The function was dignified by gracious presence of Dr. R. K. Patel, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University, Sardarkrushinagar as a president; Dr. N. H. Kelawala, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Kamdhenu University, Gandhinagar as Chief Guest. The function began with prayer followed by welcome address by Dr. D. V. Joshi, Dean, Veterinary College. In his speech, Dr. D. V. Joshi narrated the achievements of the college in academic and other fields. Dr. B. N. Suthar, Professor and Head, Department of Veterinary Gynaecology and Obstetrics showered blessing on outgoing students. From outgoing batch Mr. Tapendra Saini, Ms. Happy Patel, Mr. Dharmdev Mahida and Mr. Mohan Ram shared their experiences and memories of five years stay at the campus. All of them acknowledged the roll of all the faculties of college for grooming them during study period and expresses sincere gratitude to all teachers. The names of meritorious students were announced for their extraordinary achievements in study, sports and other extra-curricular activities. The name of Ms. Khatri Shweta Pradipbhai was declared to receive the best internee as well as highest OGPA award.
The chief guest of the function, Dr. N. H. Kelawala, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Kamdhenu University administered oath to all the graduating students and delivered valedictory speech on the occasion. He congratulated the outgoing graduates and expressed the words of advice to them. He narrated the important role of veterinarians in today’s rapidly growing and expanding Animal Husbandry and Dairy sector; and in uplifting the farming communities of our country. In the presidential remarks, Dr. R. K. Patel, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University appreciated the efforts of teaching faculties for initiating online teaching to the students from very first lockdown. He advised the students to keep learning, and to be entrepreneur rather to search a job. He also advised to be ready to accomplish responsibilities towards family, society and nation. At the end, Dr. H. C. Chauhan, Professor & Head, Department of Microbiology and UGT Chairman proposed the vote of thanks
