1963-64 closed in the year 1975-76 restarted 1982-83. Admission only to the girls from 1988-89

Major objectives (Mandate)

:

To provide practical knowledge of agriculture and its allied subjects to the students of farmer community especially the girls. Over and above this study will also provide job opportunity and self employment in agriculture and its allied subjects to the diploma holders.

Major activities of the centre

Teaching practical & theory subjects as per syllabus.

Plot work / Farm activities on the farm for providing practical experiences of different farm operations.

Extra curricular activities for overall physical and mental development of the students.

Conducting extension education activities in the nearby villages for practical experiences.

Celebration of international, national, religious days as per their mandates.

Village survey, socio-economic surveys, visits of co-operative institutions and voluntary organization in the village for practical experiences.

Major achievements:

Up till now ( Up to the year 2008-09) following numbers of students has completed their study and obtained Agriculture Diploma.

Boys : 182, Girls : 542. The girls from all the districts of the state has came for ithe study except three Dang, Kutch and Porbandar districts. Five girls from Dadara Nagar Haveli has also came for the study.

This is two years Agriculture Diploma study after new S.S.C. passed. It is of its own kind for the girls not only in the state but in the country also.
